Junior Programmer

Digital Chocolate’s Microjocs Studio is looking for Junior Programmers for its Game Development Team based in the beautiful sunny City of Barcelona. We are seeking people with good all-around experience.

The junior programmer is a software engineer who is being trained to undertake more technically demanding tasks in the future.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Porting and localizing games and other mobile applications to different platforms, handsets and languages.
  • Product configuration management and configuration tools development.
  • Customizing and tuning games to add new functionality and meet operator standards.
  • Reports to Post-Production Manager.

This is an entry-level position with opportunities to grow into a mobile applications and games development position.

Experience And Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field.
  • Attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Skill and experience in software engineering, especially with C++ and Java.
  • Knowledge of standard software engineering and quality assurance practices.
  • Passion for games and some knowledge of the games industry.
  • Any work experience in mobile device programming, especially using J2ME and/or BREW is considered an advantage.
  • Good command of English is a plus.
