Digital Chocolate’s Microjocs Studio is looking for Game Designers for its Game Development Team based in the beautiful sunny City of Barcelona. We are seeking people with good all-around experience. The game designer develops the layout, concept and game play of a video game.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for creating, documenting and communicating design features.
- Implementation and development of existing design mechanics and missions/levels.
- Iteratively balancing and fine tuning game play elements through the utilization of QA and focus group resources.
- Working closely with the Development team to resolve issues as they arise.
Skills
- Passion for the video game industry and must have a strong interest in casual gaming.
- A good understanding of all aspects of game play: control, player feedback, mechanics, game progression, reward and difficulty curves, etc.
- Creativity, autonomy and reacts well to the demands
- Must play games of all genres and be able to describe the interface’s strengths and weaknesses
- Excellent documentation skills: creation and maintenance of detailed yet concise design documents and other project documents (schedules, etc) using Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
- Ability to identify and analyze problems and to design creative and achievable solutions.
- Manage opinions and critiques (internal & external) to the game design.
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure if required.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good collaborative team skills.
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
- You should be consumer focused, maintaining an active interest in the target consumer. You will need to be aware of the motivations, desires and play-styles across a wide variety of audiences.

- Experience on mobile game design
- Experience on QA for mobile games
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic design or Computer Science
