Game Artist

Do you have what it takes to be a Chocoholic? Can you create beautiful game art for mobile phones? Digital Chocolate’s Microjocs Studio is looking for Game Artists for its Game Development Team based in the beautiful sunny City of Barcelona. We are seeking people with good all-around experience.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage the art process and assets from concept, through implementation to completion
• Communicating (both orally and through documentation) with a team of artists, designers and programmers to ensure the creative vision is fulfilled

Other duties may be assigned.

Experience and requirements

• Background in traditional art and/or illustration
• Professional skills with Photoshop
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills and an ability to work as a part of a team
• High self-motivation and passion for video games
• Pixel art experience is a plus (2d video games/ sprites/ icons)
• 3D art experience is a plus
• Understanding of the principles of animation is a plus
• Great teamwork skills and the ability to communicate very clearly in English, both in speech and in writing
• A bachelor’s degree in fine arts/ graphic design or illustration (Applications from self-taught candidates will also be considered)
