REWARD HEROES ARE LIVE

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

Starting today, you will be able to earn your first free Heroes by playing NanoStar Siege! The first Reward Hero is already unlocked at level 4 and after that, new bad boys will join your armies every few levels as you play battles and gain more XP (sometimes even more than one Hero at a level!). This is good for all the new players, but even better for the experienced generals – you can claim all the Heroes your level allows you to unlock right away and get a good selection of fresh tactics added to your future battles!

The Reward Heroes are awarded randomly and they can be either Strong, Mighty or Legendary just like regular Heroes – the only exception is that they cannot be used in other NanoStar games by Digital Chocolate. Remember, commanders: It will take hard work and many many battles to earn your Rewards, but each of them will give you new tools to attack and defend against other players and to enjoy NanoStar Siege on a completely new level!

We know you have wanted this for a long time and we are very very happy to be able to grant you your wish – now go and PLAY!!!!!!

Know Your Soldier – The Sergeant

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

Only the most battle-hardened ground troops become Sergeants: these veterans of countless battles lead from the front and fight with a fury and skill that only comes with experience. In addition to his skill with the blade, the Sergeant is a charismatic leader of men and uses h…is experience to help keep his battle-brothers out of harm’s way. The Sergeant is unlocked at level 10 and provides a +50 defense bonus to all nearby troops. He is also an expert fighter with a very high attack and defense skill as well as decent equipment to protect him and to cause more damage. Use the Sergeant where he helps the most: in the heat of the battle. A group of swordsmen led by a Sergeant can hold off a much larger army for prolonged time, giving you the important time to smite your enemy with your Heroes and tactics.

Know Your Soldiers – Standard Bearer

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

The centerpiece and the most valued possession of any army is its battle standard, a sacred emblem the army carries to battle to represent itself. The Standard is carried by a brave veteran soldier and it inspires all the soldiers around it to fight with added vigor to prot…ect their flag until death. The Standard Bearer is unlocked on level 7 and it provides a +50 bonus to the attack skills of all the nearby units. Use the Standard Bearer directly behind your front line to boost the maximum amount of troops or in combination with other booster units like the Crown Prince or the Sergeant. The Standard Bearer is a decent fighter, but since he can only fight with one hand, he won’t survive in prolonged combat against a determined foe.

Know Your Soldiers – Bard

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

After being unlocked on level 5, the Bard will serve in all attack armies, entertaining the men-at-arms with cheerful and encouraging tunes of battle and conquest. All units around the Bard can move at double speed as long as they stay near the Bard and hear his uplifting tales. Place… the Bard in the second or third row to drive forth a fast-advancing spearhead or pair him up with a Healer to create a “mobile field hospital”. If you own other special units, use the Bard to boost the movement of an already-boosted group.

The Bard is more of a lover than a fighter, so try to keep him out of close combat if possible. He can hold up in melee combat against a bowman, but swordsmen and slayers will soon stop the music.

The Reserves

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

The 1.6.0 update introduces the Reserves into NanoStar Siege. The Reserves remove the need to use gold to launch raids since all units that are deployed into battle have a Reserve cost. The Reserves represent the total manpower of the player kingdom and the maximum amount of Reserves the player can… have improves as the player gains levels and his kingdom get stronger. The Reserves regenerate automatically over time at a rate of 1 point per minute or can be refilled automatically by spending gold.

The Reserves feature is implemented to allow Siege to have a more varied amount of different units (1.6.0 has three new units, bard, standard bearer and sergeant and more are on their way) and to allow a higher level of customization for the player armies. Different units have varied Reserve costs, so players will need to find a good balance of using cheaper and more expensive forces to prevail against their opponents. Please note that this is the first version of the Reserves feature: the NanoStar Siege team will introduce more ways to use (and to refill) the Reserves in upcoming releases, so stay tuned!

Warlords #5: Old Arn

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

Old Arn is all about durability: he doubles the amount of Morale you have for each battle, meaning that any enemies that get to attack your base take twice as long to actually win the battle for the defender. While Old Arn isn’t as flashy as some of the other Warlords for sure, but usually the guy w…ho lasts the longest gets the last laugh. With him, you’ll be laughing a lot, we promise.

Warlords #4: Scarlotti the Bloody

Posted by admin on August 3 2010 Add Comments

Some Warlord boost the statistics of all units, regardless of their type. While these boosts are generally lower than on the unit-specific Warlords (like Sir Bradrick), the advantage of being able to wield a more varied force will usually work to your advantage. Scarlotti the Bloody incr…eases the brutal damage all your units cause in melee combat, pure and simple. Combo it with Heroes like Paralysis or Magic Armor to gain an unbeatable advantage over the weaker enemy troops and win the day!
